K and WK pumps (VS6 design)

1.00

K and WK pumps (VS6 design) are vertical, multi-stage centrifugal pumps with good anti-cavitation properties, segmented structure, equipped with a tank (double casing within the pump stages).
The design of these pumps is a reliable solution in condensate circuits and in other high-pressure and high-temperature applications in many industries around the world (e.g. power plants, heat and power plants).
The design and highly efficient hydraulics ensure reliability combined with easy maintenance and minimal operating costs.
The range (K, WK) is available in API-free versions for power plant requirements and general industrial specifications and in the API 610 version (VS6 type) for the oil and gas industry and the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU (in the scope of Group II, category 2G and 3G).

    Layout

    parameters

Vertical, centrifugal, multi-stage pumps with horizontal suction and discharge ports. In WK pumps, the first stage consists of two rotors with their inlets facing each other. The rotating unit is mounted in sliding bearings and in a rolling bearing; in the case of WK pumps it will be a Michell type sliding bearing.
The bearings are lubricated with a pumped medium flowing along the shaft, and the rolling bearings with grease or oil (Michell only oil). Shaft sealing in stuffing boxes is made using mechanical seals or sealing cords.
To balance the axial thrust, a thrust roller bearing is used in the K pumps, and a relief drum and a Michell-type plain bearing are used in the WK pumps. An integral part of the pump is the tank, which forms a hermetically sealed unit with it.
